What Do We Offer? / Our Interests:
Adelaide Applied Physiotherapy (AAP) has an interest and can offer services in the areas of Musculoskeletal Assessment / Management, Spinal conditions such as headaches, thoracic and lower back pain, postural advice and correction, Orthopaedic pre and post-operative, pain management (including chronic pain), sports injuries and functional rehabilitation, women’s health and work and accident-related injuries. Other services such as hydrotherapy can also be arranged. AAP also incorporates Pilates along with many other tools and techniques in its service delivery.
Our practitioners keep up-to-date with their techniques as well as utilizing the latest equipment.
Functional Capacity Evaluations and Worksite Assessments are also provided by our physiotherapists.
Our Principal Physiotherapists:
Farzan Graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of South Australia and since then has completed various post-graduate courses and trainings including a Masters degree from the University of Western Australia with High Distinction in the area of Manual Therapy (alternative for Manipulative Physiotherapy) and Musculoskeletal Studies. His other postgraduate trainings are in the fields of McKenzie Method of spinal assessments, Mulligan techniques, Soft Tissue managements, as well as being a qualified Pilates instructor.
Farzan has worked in both states of SA and VIC in the past (prior to taking over AA Physiotherapy) having been the Chief Physiotherapist of various hospitals in those regions.
Farzan has and continues to play variety of sports and in particular enjoys soccer and tennis. He loves spending time with his family and friends. Farzan is also an accomplished musician (he plays the classical and flamenco guitar).
Bita graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of South Australia with High Distinction – being listed on the Chancellor’s Merit List.
She has also, since graduation, attended various post-graduate trainings and courses primarily in the areas of Musculoskeletal Studies, which include McKenzie Methods of assessment and treatment for spinal complaints, Certificate in Spinal Manual Therapy, various Soft Tissue management techniques, as well as being a fully qualified Pilates instructor.
In the past, Bita has worked in the state of VIC covering various fields of physiotherapy.
Bita, a mother of two, enjoys socialising and has a passion for healthy living in general. She is a keen runner and also enjoys music and dance.
Both Bita and Farzan have, in the past, been heavily involved in giving presentations and advise to various organizations and the community in areas such as the Women’s Health, Sports Injuries and Management, Back Care, Work-related Injuries, etc.
Adelaide Applied Physiotherapy has worked with and provided services to many different athletes and sporting clubs: SA Triathlon, various football and soccer clubs, Kan Zen Ryo Karate Academy, and many individual athletes to name a few.
